When you post a link, you start with 55 taps.
Each tap is like a "life". More taps = higher in the ranking.
When you reach 0 taps, your link disappears. Game over.
New Rule: To keep Take5 alive and fair, you must give at least 5 high-fives to other users' links before you are allowed to post your own.
This ensures everyone collaborates. No more posting and leaving!
Type any URL: your website, your blog, your TikTok, your Instagram, your YouTube video, your online store... anything you want to promote.
Your link goes to a quick moderation queue (a human checks it's not spam or illegal). Once approved, it appears on top of the ranking with 55 taps.
Important: You can only post one link per hour. And you cannot post a duplicate link if it's already in the top 100. Wait until it disappears to post it again.
When another user clicks "HIGH FIVE" on your link, two things happen:
1. Your link loses 1 tap (goes from 55 to 54, then 53...)
2. The user who clicked gets to visit your link in a new tab (free traffic for you!)
Each high-five you receive makes you sink down the ranking. Other users climb above you.
Click "HIGH FIVE" on other users' links to sink them and visit their site. But here's the key:
Every 10 high-fives you give = +1 tap on your latest link. This is how you climb back up the ranking!
There's a 30-second cooldown between each click you make. So you can't spam clicks to get infinite taps. Pace yourself.
⚠️ Important: You must stay on the destination page for at least 5 seconds after clicking. If you open and close instantly, the click won't count and won't be registered by our servers.
If your link loses all its taps and reaches 0, it's removed from the site completely. You can't recover it.
Don't worry: you can post a new link (after the 1-hour cooldown, and after giving 5 more high-fives) and start fresh with 55 taps.
The ranking only shows the top 100 links. If your link falls below position 100 (because other links have more taps), it gets automatically removed from the system.
